இந்திய திரைப்படத் துறையில் தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சி புதிய பரிணாமத்தை எட்டியுள்ளது. அந்த வரிசையில், முழுக்க முழுக்க Photo Realistic Artificial Intelligence (AI) தொழில் நுட்பத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தி உருவாக்கப்பட்ட முழு நீள திரைப்படமாக ‘அவிரா’ உருவாகியுள்ளது. இந்திய அளவில் இத்தகைய முயற்சி மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டிருப்பது திரைப்பட உலகின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்துள்ளது.

சினிமாவில் கணினி வரைகலை (CG), VFX, Virtual Production போன்ற தொழில் நுட்பங்கள் தொடர்ந்து பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்த நிலையில், தற்போது AI தொழில் நுட்பம் திரைப்பட உருவாக்கத்தில் புதிய அத்தியாயத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது. அந்த மாற்றத்தின் முக்கிய அடையாளமாக ‘அவிரா’ திரைப்படம் உருவாகியுள்ளது.

சுமார் 70-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட விளம்பரப் படங்களை இயக்கியுள்ள இயக்குநர் பிரபாகரன், இந்த திரைப்படத்திற்கு கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதி, Photo Realistic AI தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் மூலம் இயக்கியுள்ளார். லைட் ஹவுஸ் ஃபில்ம் கம்பெனி தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகும் இந்த படத்தை தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் கணேஷ் மற்றும் ஜெகதீஷ் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ளனர்.

மனிதர்களைப் போலவே இயல்பான தோற்றத்துடன் கதாபாத்திரங்களை உருவாக்கும் Photo Realistic AI தொழில் நுட்பம் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டிருப்பது இந்த படத்தின் மிகப் பெரிய சிறப்பாகும். இந்தியாவில் முழு நீள திரைப்படம் ஒன்றை இத்தகைய தொழில் நுட்பத்தின் மூலம் உருவாக்கிய முதல் முயற்சி என்ற பெருமையையும் ‘அவிரா’ பெற்றுள்ளது.

படம் குறித்து இயக்குநர் பிரபாகரன் கூறுகையில், “‘அவிரா’ என்பது ‘பிரபஞ்சத்தின் பேரொளி’ என்ற அர்த்தத்தை கொண்ட பெயர். புராணக் கதைகளை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, கற்பனை உலகத்தை இணைத்து இந்த திரைப்படத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளோம். குழந்தைகள் முதல் பெரியவர்கள்வரை அனைவரும் ரசிக்கும் வகையில் பிரம்மாண்டமான பேண்டஸி அனுபவத்தை வழங்கும் படமாக இது இருக்கும். Photo Realistic AI தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட கதாபாத்திரங்கள் ரசிகர்களுக்கு புதுமையான திரை அனுபவத்தை அளிக்கும். தற்போது இறுதிக்கட்ட பணிகள் வேகமாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன” என்றார்.

India’s First Fully Photo-Realistic AI Feature Film ‘Avira’ Marks a New Milestone in Cinema

Indian cinema is set to witness a technological breakthrough with ‘Avira’, a feature film created entirely using Photo-Realistic Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Touted as India’s first full-length film to be produced completely with Photo-Realistic AI, the project represents a significant milestone in the evolution of filmmaking.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape industries worldwide, its influence has now extended into cinema, opening up exciting possibilities for storytelling and visual creation. Avira stands at the forefront of this transformation, showcasing how AI can redefine the filmmaking process.

The film is written, directed, and scripted by Prabhakaran, an acclaimed filmmaker who has previously directed more than 70 commercial advertisements. Produced by Lighthouse Film Company, the film is jointly produced by Ganesh and Jagadeesh.

One of the film’s biggest highlights is the creation of its characters and visual world entirely through Photo-Realistic AI technology, delivering lifelike imagery without conventional live-action production. This pioneering achievement is being recognised as the first-of-its-kind attempt in India to create a full-length feature film using this advanced AI-driven approach.

Speaking about the project, director Prabhakaran said:

“Avira means ‘The Great Light of the Universe.’ The film is a fantasy adventure inspired by mythological themes and presented through an original fictional narrative. We have designed it as a pan-Indian cinematic experience that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages, from children to adults. Using Photo-Realistic AI technology, we have created realistic characters and an immersive fantasy world that offers a completely new visual experience. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production.”
