டான் பிக்சர்ஸ், வொண்டர் பார் பிலிம்ஸ், ரெட் ஜெயன்ட் ஆகிய நிறுவனங்கள் இணைந்து தயாரித்துள்ள படம் ‘இட்லி கடை’.
நித்யா மேனன், அருண் விஜய், சத்யராஜ், ராஜ்கிரண், பார்த்திபன், ஷாலினி பாண்டே உள்ளிட்ட பலர் நடிக்கும் இப்படத்திற்கு ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷ் குமார் இசையமைத்துள்ளார்.
இப்படம் அக்டோபர் 1-ம் தேதி ஆயுத பூஜை தினத்தில் திரைக்கு வருகிறது. இதையொட்டி இந்தப் படத்தில் இசை வெளியீட்டு விழா நேற்று மாலை சென்னை நேரு உள் விளையாட்டரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது.
இந்த விழாவில் நடிகர் தனுஷ் பேசும்போது, “என் குழந்தை பருவ அனுபவங்களையும் சில கற்பனைகளையும் சேர்த்துதான் இந்த இட்லி கடை’ படத்தை உருவாக்கியுள்ளேன். சிறுவயதில் என் அம்மா ஊரிலிருந்த ‘இட்லி கடை’யின் நினைவுகளே இந்தக் கதையின் அடிப்படை. ஹேட்டர்ஸ் என்று யாரும் இல்லை. சிலர் பல ஐ.டி.கள் மூலம் பரப்புவதுதான் ஹேட். ஆனால் அவர்கள் கூட படத்தை பார்த்துதான் செல்கிறார்கள்.
நான் நடிக்கும் படங்களை திரையரங்குகளில் பாருங்கள். மற்ற நேரங்களில் குடும்பத்தை கவனியுங்கள். இன்று என்னை சந்திக்க வரும் ரசிகர்களில் மருத்துவர்கள், பொறியாளர்கள், வழக்கறிஞர்கள் அதிகம் இருக்கிறார்கள். அதுவே எனக்கு உண்மையான மகிழ்ச்சி
ஒரு பாடலை ரசிக்க 10 வினாடி தான் மக்கள் செலவிடுகிறார்கள். அதனால் தரமான இசை தர வேண்டும். ஜி.வி. பிரகாஷ் அதையே செய்து வருகிறார். சிறு வயதில் இட்லி சாப்பிட பணம் இல்லாமல், மலர் பறித்து விற்று சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டு ‘இட்லி கடை’யில் சாப்பிட்ட அந்த சந்தோஷமே இந்தப் படத்திற்கு ஈர்ப்பு. அந்த உணர்வே இந்த ‘இட்லி கடை’ திரைப்படம் உருவாகக் காரணம்.
நம்முடைய பூர்வீகம், முன்னோர்கள், குலதெய்வ வழிபாடு ஆகியவற்றை மறக்கக் கூடாது என்பதை படம் பேசுகிறது. கூட்டை விட்டு பறந்த பறவை எங்கு சென்றாலும் தனது கூட்டிற்கே திரும்பும். அதுபோல நாமும் எப்போதும் நம் அடையாளத்தை நினைவில் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
சில சமயம் தெரியாமலே கதாபாத்திரங்கள் என்னுள் ஊடுருவிவிடும். குபேரா இசை வெளியீட்டில் நடந்தது அதற்கே எடுத்துக்காட்டு. நான் அணியும் மாலை என் தாத்தா 30 ஆண்டுகளாக ஜெபம் செய்தது. என்னை யாரென்று கேட்டால் ‘நல்ல தந்தை’ என்பதே என் பெருமை. ஹேட்டர்ஸ் என்று யாரும் இல்லை. என்னைத் திட்டுபவர்களும் இந்தப் படத்தை பார்க்கத்தான் செய்வார்கள்” என்றார்.
நடிகர் பார்த்திபன் பேசும்போது, “தனுஷிடம் மொபைல் நம்பரை கேட்டபோது, ‘என் பிள்ளைகளுடன் மட்டுமே பேசுவேன்’ என்றார். அது எனக்கு வியப்பாக இருந்தது. நடிகர் கமலைப் போல சகலகலாவல்லவன்தான் தனுஷ். நடிகைகளுடன் தேவையற்ற கிசுகிசு ஏற்படாமல் தனுஷ் விலகி நிற்பது சிறப்பு” என்றார்.
நடிகர் சத்யராஜ் பேசும்போது, “தனுஷ் உண்மையிலேயே பல திறமைகள் கொண்டவர். அசுரன், கர்ணன் போன்ற படங்களில் பெரியார், அம்பேத்கர் சிந்தனைகளை வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார். ஹீரோவாக இருந்தும், இந்தப் படத்தில் நெகட்டிவ் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்த அருண் விஜய்க்கு பாராட்டுகள்,” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
நடிகை நித்யா மேனன் பேசும்போது, “முதலில் தேதிகள் பொருந்தாமல் இந்தப் படத்தில் நடிக்க முடியவில்லை. ஆனால் எனக்கு தேசிய விருது கிடைத்த அறிவிப்பு வந்த பிறகு தனுஷ் மீண்டும் அழைத்தார். எனக்கு இந்தக் கதை சரியாகப் பொருந்தும் என்று எண்ணி ஒப்புக் கொண்டேன். தனுஷ் நடிகராக இருப்பதைவிட இயக்குநராக இருப்பதுதான் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடிக்கும்” என்றார்.
இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷ் பேசும்போது, “பொல்லாதவன்’ படத்திலிருந்து நானும் தனுஷும் நண்பர்கள். குடும்பத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் படம் ‘இட்லி கடை’. ‘ராயன்’ படத்தில் தனுஷின் சகோதரராக நடிக்க வாய்ப்பு வந்தது. ஆனால் அந்தக் கதாபாத்திரம் நண்பனுக்கு துரோகம் செய்கிறது என்பதால் மறுத்துவிட்டேன். தனுஷ் இயக்கினால் ‘துள்ளுவதோ இளமை-2’யில் நடிக்கத் தயார். ஆனால் துரோகம் செய்யும் கதாபாத்திரத்தில் ஒருபோதும் நடிக்க மாட்டேன்” என்றார்.
நடிகர் அருண் விஜய் பேசும்போது, “தனுஷ் எப்போதும் தன் வேலையை மட்டுமே கவனிப்பார். ‘என்னை அறிந்தால்’ மற்றும் ‘இட்லி கடை’ – இந்த இரண்டு படங்களின் கதையைக் கேட்டவுடனேயே உடனடியாக சம்மதித்தேன். இப்படம் தனுஷ் ரசிகர்களை மட்டுமில்லாமல் குடும்ப ரசிகர்களையும் கவரும்” என்றார்.
தனுஷின் மேலாளர் ஸ்ரேயாஸ் பேசும்போது, “தனுஷால் வாழ்வு பெற்றவர்களும், பணம் சம்பாதித்தவர்களும் நேரில் வராமல், கணினி முன் உட்கார்ந்து வதந்திகள் பரப்புகிறார்கள். அதற்கு தனுஷ் எப்போதும் அமைதியாகவே பதில் தருவார்” என்று கூறினார்.
விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்ட தயாரிப்பாளர் ஐசரி கணேஷ், தனுஷ்–வெற்றிமாறன் கூட்டணியின் ‘வட சென்னை-2’ திரைப்படத்தை தாம் தயாரிக்க இருப்பதாகவும், அதற்கான பணிகள் விரைவில் தொடங்க உள்ளதாகவும் அறிவித்தார்.
மொத்தத்தில், இந்த ‘இட்லி கடை’ படத்தின் இசை வெளியீட்டில் கலந்து கொண்ட அனைவரும் தனுஷின் பல்திறமைகள், எளிமை மற்றும் அவரது படத்தின் தனித்துவம் குறித்து பாராட்டியுள்ளனர்.
Dhanush on Idli Kadai
Actor Dhanush, who has both directed and acted in the film Idli Kadai, revealed that the story is inspired by his childhood memories with a mix of fiction. The film is set to release in theatres on October 1.
Speaking at the audio launch held at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, Dhanush said:
“This film is based on events from my childhood along with some imagination. A bird that leaves its nest always returns to it – similarly, we must never forget our roots. That is what Idli Kadai speaks about.”
“There are no haters. Even those who dislike us will end up watching our films.”
On the trolling he faced during the Kubera audio launch, Dhanush clarified:
“Sometimes, without knowing, I embody my characters. That day when I heard the Raayan song, the character stayed within me – that’s why I spoke in that manner.”
Manager Shreyas (co-producer of the film) remarked:
“Like Superstar Rajinikanth once said – be good, but don’t be too good. Many who earned a living through Dhanush now spread rumours hiding behind computers instead of facing him directly. When I asked Dhanush about it, he said, ‘We know who we are, and so does God,’ and moved on.”
Actor Parthiban shared humorously:
“I once asked Dhanush for his number. He replied saying, ‘I only use my phone to talk to my two sons.’ I was surprised, but then I thought – if this phone is only for his kids, what other phone must he have to talk to women! Like Kamal Haasan, Dhanush too is a multi-talented man.”
He also praised GV Prakash, saying, “Even in 2050, the music of Aayirathil Oruvan will still be remembered.”
Actor Sathyaraj compared Dhanush to Kamal Haasan:
“Like Kamal, Dhanush is versatile. In Asuran and Karnan, he carried forward the thoughts of Periyar and Ambedkar. I thank directors Vetrimaaran and Mari Selvaraj for that. Despite being a hero, Dhanush cast Arun Vijay in a negative role, which deserves appreciation.”
Actress Nithya Menen said:
“Initially, I couldn’t commit to Idli Kadai as I was shooting for another film. Later, after winning the National Award for Thiruchitrambalam, Dhanush approached me again. I realized this was my story too and joined the film. Honestly, I prefer Dhanush as a director more than as an actor.”
Composer GV Prakash added:
“Dhanush and I have been friends since Polladhavan. This film stresses the importance of family. Arun Vijay was asked to play Dhanush’s brother in Raayan, but I refused because that role betrays him. Even in cinema, I won’t betray my friend.”
Actor Arun Vijay became emotional:
“I’ve acted in four films with other heroes, but I immediately accepted only two after hearing the narration – Ennai Arindhaal and Idli Kadai. Dhanush amazes me. He minds his work and doesn’t bother about what others say. This film will appeal not just to his fans but also to families.”
Dhanush’s closing remarks:
“Our family never forgets gratitude. My first hero and my father’s first hero was Rajkiran – we will always remain thankful. GV Prakash has composed music that will stand the test of time, not just trending reels. I also told young composer Sai Abhyankar to focus on quality melodies.”
He recalled his childhood: “During vacations at my mother’s village, I would eat at an idli shop every day. Sometimes we had no money, so my sisters and I would pick flowers in the fields and sell them for two rupees to buy idlis. That memory inspired this film.”
“Our true identity is our heritage. We must teach our children about our ancestors and traditions. Just like the bird that returns to its nest, we too must never forget where we come from.”
On being asked what he’s proud of: “If someone asks who Dhanush is, I’d say a good father. That’s what makes me proud.”
