அறிவியல் புனைகதை, ஹாரர், சூப்பர்நேச்சுரல் மற்றும் சஸ்பென்ஸ் அம்சங்கள் கலந்த பிரம்மாண்ட திரைப்படமாக உருவாகி வரும் ‘நோவா – பேஸ் ஒன்: தி அரைவல்’ திரைப்படம், அதன் வித்தியாசமான கதைக் களத்தால் ரசிகர்களிடையே எதிர்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

ராயல் ஃபார்ச்சுனா கிரியேஷன்ஸ் தயாரிக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தின் மூலம் இயக்குநர் மைலோ வெள்ளித்திரையில் இயக்குநராக அறிமுகமாகிறார்.

பிக்பாஸ் மூலம் பிரபலமான ரைசா வில்சன் கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ள இப்படத்தில், கன்னடத் திரையுலகில் தனக்கென இடம் பிடித்துள்ள நடிகை அத்விதி ஷெட்டி, தமிழில் முதன்முறையாக அறிமுகமாகிறார். மேலும் துருவா, கிருத்திகா பிஸ்வாஸ், ஜோ ஜான் சாக்கோ, சென்ராயன், ஃபைனலி ஸ்வாதிகா, ஃபைனலி கிருஷ்ணா உள்ளிட்டோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர். தற்போது படத்தின் இறுதிக்கட்ட பணிகள் தீவிரமாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன.

கடந்த 11 ஆண்டுகளாக கன்னடத் திரைப்பட உலகில் பல வெற்றிப்படங்களிலும் விருதுபெற்ற படைப்புகளிலும் நடித்துள்ள அத்விதி ஷெட்டி, துளு, கன்னடம், தெலுங்கு, இந்தி உள்ளிட்ட மொழிகளில் தனது திறமையை நிரூபித்தவர். நடனக் கலைஞருமான அவர், பல்வேறு ரியாலிட்டி நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும் பங்கேற்று ரசிகர்களின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்துள்ளார்.

‘நோவா’வில் ‘வல்லபி’ என்ற ராணுவ அதிகாரி கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்திருக்கும் அத்விதி, தனது திரைப்பயணத்தில் இதுவே மிகவும் சவாலான மற்றும் நடிப்புத் திறனை முழுமையாக வெளிப்படுத்தும் கதாபாத்திரம் என்கிறார். அதிக வசனங்கள், உணர்ச்சி மிகுந்த காட்சிகள் மற்றும் உடல் ரீதியான சவால்கள் நிறைந்த இந்த வேடம், அவருக்கு புதிய அனுபவமாக அமைந்ததாம்.

தமிழ் மொழி புரிந்தாலும் பேசுவதற்கான வாய்ப்பு அதிகம் இல்லாத நிலையில், படப்பிடிப்பின்போது குறுகிய நேரத்தில் வசனங்களை கற்றுக்கொண்டு இயல்பாக பேசியதற்காக படக்குழுவினரின் பாராட்டைப் பெற்றதாக அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். குறிப்பாக, ஒரு உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமான காட்சியில் கிளிசரின் பயன்படுத்தாமல் நடித்தது படக்குழுவை ஆச்சரியப்படுத்தியதாகவும், அதற்காக அனைவரிடமிருந்தும் கைதட்டல் கிடைத்ததாகவும் கூறினார்.

படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தபோதே தனது பாட்டி உயிரிழந்த செய்தி வந்தது வாழ்க்கையில் மிகவும் வேதனையான தருணமாக இருந்ததாகவும் அவர் உருக்கமாக நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். முக்கியமான காட்சியை முடித்துவிட்டு மங்களூருக்குப் புறப்பட்டாலும், போக்குவரத்து சிக்கல்களால் இறுதியாக தனது பாட்டியின் முகத்தைக் கூட பார்க்க முடியவில்லை என்றும், மறுநாளே மீண்டும் படப்பிடிப்பில் கலந்து கொண்டதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார். குடும்பத்தினரின் உற்சாக வார்த்தைகளே அந்த கடினமான நேரத்தில் தனக்கு மிகப்பெரிய மனஉறுதியாக இருந்ததாகவும் கூறினார்.

மூணாரின் மலைப்பகுதிகள் மற்றும் அடர்ந்த காடுகளில் நடைபெற்ற படப்பிடிப்பு உடல் ரீதியாகவும் கடுமையான சோதனையாக அமைந்ததாம். கனமான ராணுவ பூட்ஸ் அணிந்து நீண்ட தூரம் நடக்க வேண்டியிருந்ததோடு, அடிப்படை வசதிகளுக்குக் கூட நீண்ட தூரம் செல்ல வேண்டிய சூழல் இருந்ததாக அவர் கூறினார். அந்த அனுபவம்தான் இந்திய ராணுவ வீரர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பை இன்னும் அதிகமாக மதிக்க வைத்ததாகவும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

படத்தின் அறிமுகக் காட்சி நள்ளிரவில் கடும் குளிரான மூணாரில் செயற்கை மழையில் படமாக்கப்பட்டதையும், தொடர்ந்து 24 மணி நேரம் நடைபெற்ற அந்த படப்பிடிப்பு வாழ்நாளில் மறக்க முடியாத அனுபவமாக அமைந்ததாகவும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

இயக்குநர் மைலோவின் கற்பனை உலகம் வித்தியாசமானது என்றும், தமிழில் புதுமையான அறிவியல் புனைகதை திரைப்படத்தை வழங்கும் முயற்சியாக ‘நோவா’ அமையும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையையும் அத்விதி வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

Aadhvithi Shetty Makes Her Tamil Debut as an Army Officer in ‘NOVA: Phase One – The Arrival’

Kannada actress Aadhvithi Shetty is all set to make her Tamil cinema debut with the upcoming science-fiction horror thriller ‘NOVA: Phase One – The Arrival’, where she will be seen portraying a powerful army officer in what she describes as the most challenging role of her career.

Produced by Royal Fortuna Creations, the film marks the directorial debut of Milo and blends horror, science fiction, supernatural elements, fantasy, and suspense into a gripping cinematic experience.

Bigg Boss fame Raiza Wilson plays the lead, while Aadhvithi Shetty joins the cast as the second female lead. The ensemble also includes Dhruva (of Aanmai Thavarael fame), Bengali actress Krithika Biswas, Malayalam actor Jo John Chacko, Sendrayan, YouTube personalities Finally Swathika and Finally Krishna, among others. The film is currently in its final stages of post-production and is gearing up for release.

Aadhvithi Shetty, who has been a part of the Kannada film industry for over 11 years, has acted in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films. One of her recent Tulu films completed a successful 100-day theatrical run. Apart from acting, she is also a trained dancer and has participated in several dance reality shows across Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu television.

Speaking about her experience in NOVA, Aadhvithi said that she plays Vallabhi, an army officer with a strong, performance-oriented role.

“This is the most different and demanding character I have played so far. It gave me a wonderful opportunity to perform, with emotionally intense scenes, lengthy dialogues, and significant screen presence. Since the film is a science-fiction thriller packed with suspense, the role demanded complete dedication,” she said.

Although she understands Tamil and enjoys watching Tamil films, Aadhvithi admitted that she had very little opportunity to speak the language before this project. She shared that she learned her Tamil dialogues quickly during the shoot and was appreciated by the team for her lip-sync and natural performance. She also revealed that she performed an emotional scene without using glycerine, earning applause from the entire crew.

One of the most emotional moments during the production came when she received news of her grandmother’s passing while she was filming in Munnar.

“I was extremely close to my grandmother. The news came while I was on the set, but I had an important scene to complete first. By the time I travelled back to Mangaluru through Kochi and Bengaluru, I couldn’t see her one last time. It was one of the hardest phases of my life. My family encouraged me to return to the shoot, saying my team needed me, and that gave me the strength to continue,” she recalled.

The actress also described the physically demanding filming conditions in the forests and hilly terrains of Munnar. Since the caravans were parked far away, even basic facilities required long walks. Wearing heavy military boots throughout the schedule added to the challenge.

“That experience made me appreciate the sacrifices and commitment of our soldiers even more,” she said.

Her introductory sequence in the film was shot during a freezing midnight rain sequence in Munnar, where tanker water was poured over the actors for nearly 24 hours of continuous filming.

Calling the experience unforgettable, Aadhvithi praised director Milo’s unique cinematic vision.

“His aim is to present a fresh and engaging science-fiction film to Tamil audiences. I believe NOVA will stand out for its originality,” she added.

Expressing her gratitude towards the cast and crew for helping her with Tamil pronunciation and dialogues, Aadhvithi said the team became like a second family during the shoot. She also expressed her desire to continue acting in more Tamil films after the release of NOVA: Phase One – The Arrival.
